Pupil Leadership
Pupil Leadership roles in our school play an important part in helping children to develop their confidence and teamwork skills from an early age. Children also develop a sense of responsibility and ownership over different aspects of school life.
Through School Council, pupils have a voice in decisions e.g. appointment of new staff and playground rules, sharing their ideas and being a voice for all pupils.
Playground Helpers, support their peers during playtimes by encouraging inclusive games, helping adults to help children to follow playground rules and promoting positive interactions so that everyone is kept safe and happy.
Lunchtime Helpers support our younger pupils so that they know what to do in the dining room and encouraging good manners.
In the classrooms, pupils take on different leadership roles e.g. book monitors to create a sense of ownership within their classes.
These leadership roles help children to make a positive contribution to school life.
